Going from 1st to 6th weeks in NDSU

1st week was the orientation week.. for all international students to know more bout NDSU. I went for most of the talk and skipped some of them too.. the boring one. During the time, it is the best for us to make frens among the international students and also de staff too. At the end of the orientation week, we have a non alcohol party. ' NO ALCOHOL' and 'NO SMOKING' allowed in campus. I like de second one but not the first. Party will be less fun without alcohol though i m not a drinker. Lots ppl dancing, but me, played my first wii games there and other games too. I just hope tat i am able to shake my butt more.. haha :)

2nd week was the first week for classes. Yea! My first introduction to US classroom culture. I have big classes and small classes. Overall it is de same like my classes in Msia. Just that the people around me are different. English as main communication language, used all the time. Good for me :) Not to forget bout adding n dropping classes. I dropped a 2 hours and 50 minutes class bout American studies that i have no idea what the lecturer talking about in the first class. She talked and laughed herself. I really have no idea at all what she was talking about. That really a good hint for me to drop the class. Ended up i took up another course. Not bad. For sure better than the earlier one. Besides spendin time goin to class, what i do is aiming for free T-shirt. I joined activities that will give me more free shirt. haha. That helped cox i didnt bring much. I went to do some shopping in downtown wit my frens too. Outing with UGRADERs, looking out for the mall and stuff. Something funny bout de public bus, they dun hav button to press for stopping. They have this yellow string (if u can see in the pic on de left), pull it then it stop. Haha. New stuff to know :) At de end of the week, i joined a trip to Mineapolis, Albertville & Mall of America. Yea!

Entered the 3rd week... hmm.. bad.. started to get bored to everything d. The most is the food in dining center. Potatoes and cheese everyday. Worse is homesick or missing someone. Totally lost into WHY I M HERE? Lonely. Haha :) So sad right.. But then that kind of feeling just a while, I have to make myself happy, enjoying my time here.. Maybe i was struggling adapting myself to the environment also.. not really know how or wat i felt. Having trouble making friends?? Not really.. Thing got better entering 4th week.

So the 4th, 5th and 6th weeks i was so busy, with classes mostly, quiz and exam. And also stuff for extra credit. One more difference is de marking system. They are efficient and make full use of IT. Marks will be online after few days. It is not hard to score as long as u r hardworking, put effort into wat i doin. Lecturer lenient in giving marks. During exam, some student finished very fast and left. That really make me nervous. Just like they know everything. Read and circle oni. Salute! Really hav to catch up with them. haha :) Checking email and blackboard everyday has became my habit, it is to keep myself update with things happening in campus, bout classes and so on.

hmm.. i m stil in de 6th week. So far everything alright. Just have to keep myself occupied. Just entered fall.. can really see that the leaves really turn brown, read and yellow. They are so pretty. I love them. Too bad that i broke my camera, if not i will have more picture..
