I never understand what is 'Homecoming' until I experienced it myself. It is a very special event in US universities and schools. I guess most of the football games were in fall. Homecoming Team is the team of the university or sch where the games were played. Homecoming Week is the first week in October where the homecoming team having a games with any other team. So, that how they decide when the homecoming week will be.. interesting..!
Homecoming week isnt just about the football games. There are lot more activities around. Since i am here in US, i got to try them all.. Yup.
First, there was a Homecoming Show, where i have to pay like $5 entrance fees to get in. The theme of the show was Twilight. So, they have some performance and skits bout Twilight. Cheer team, marching band and dance team performed too. The main event in the show was to select the Homecoming King and Queen for the year. Hmm.. i always thought Homecoming King and Queen must be handsome and pretty. But i learned that it was not true. They just have to be famous and have lots of supporter. But for sure, they are all 'somebody' in some associations and they contributes not little to the university and society.

The next event is Homecoming parade. Where most clubs in the university took part in to get some point. I am in Food Science Club. What interesting bout this parade the audience which are mostly kids. All the kids waiting beside the road with plastic bag or anything they have to collect candies. Of course their parents were with them too. We are giving away candies. haha :) Pity those kids that waited at the end cox we ran out of candies before the end. The audiences give me feelings that they are very supportive to the university event and they really spent time with family.
After the parade in the morning, football time in the afternoon. Bison supporter fill in the hall in no time. It was my first time to see football game in the US. But i am quite dissappointed cox we lost the game. Well, i was in the game until the end, tho i dunno wat the rules for the game. Just by seeing i think i learn a little. hehe :) During the games, i learned some sign language too. I am wondering if it is the same for all in US. Everyone make sound and lift up their hand with fingers moving when the game start.. it is like urging them to start the game :) I followed cox its fun, n i m trying to be supportive!
The last activity i remembered is the Homecoming Dance... that is the day i danced the most in my life i guess. At last i can shake my body a bit and not that stiff. The feeling of let go abit. I enjoyed a lot that night. I love my dress :p
